Ford v Ferrari

                                                    Ford v Ferrari - Wikipedia
Ford v Ferrari directed by James Mangold is based on the true story of Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles as they try to bring the Ford Motor Company into the racing scene. From designing a Ford racing car to competing against Enzo Ferrari at the Le Mans in France (24 hours of racing)  in 1966, this movie is sure to appeal to any car and history lover out there.

My dad is big into old fashioned cars, sometimes we would be driving somewhere and a car show would be going on in a parking lot and we had to stop. I didn't always like these pit stops, but I did grow to like the old-fashioned feeling of cars and felt like there was something truly American about the whole scene. Ford v Ferrari has that same old-fashioned American feel to it.

Christian Bale and Matt Damon are incredible as Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby, respectively. They bring the art of racing to life and bring everyone back to that classic '60s American life. Of course, I wasn't alive in the 60s, but movies like this one make me feel like I was a teenager in the 60s who used to go to diners and cruise around town in a light blue convertible Ford Mustang.

Bale was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role as the boisterous hero, Ken Miles. Bale and Damon did an impeccable job reenacting this revolutionary story and the creative team made this film feel like a classic. It's no surprise that the hard work put into this film got Ford v Ferrari an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.
