Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful April; I personally feel like it flew by. I thought I would share some of my movie/book/song recommendations from this month. Enjoy!
My first recommendation is the book Yes Please by Amy Poehler. This book is very amusing, lighthearted, and a great insight into show business. With comical stories from her past that we all can relate to and delightful annotations by her famous friends, this book is full of fun! I will be posting a whole review of this book soon, but it was one of my favorites that I read in April and if you're a fan of Amy Poehler, without a doubt, you will love this book too. Check out the full recap I did of it here!
My movie recommendation for this month is The Current War directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse compete against one another to bring their electrical systems to life and battle over who's system will get to power the whole country. This is based on true historical events, so if that's not your thing you may not love this movie, but still give it a try! With iconic Hollywood stars such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, and Tom Holland, who wouldn't want to watch this film! Definitely check this movie out and it will give you a glimpse of our country's electric past!
Finally, my music recommendation for April is Flow by Dillon James. This song is on his new album, Unstable Pride. I came across Dillon James from watching American Idol (which I don't usually watch, but when I turned the tv on there he was singing like an angel), and instantly fell in love with his music! All of the music on his new album is truly fantastic and applicable for any mood you're in. Whether it's sitting and doing homework, going for a drive, or singing in the shower, this album is great for you! So check it out and possibly discover your new favorite song! Check out Flow by Dillon James here!
I hope you go out and try some of these recommendations, even if you're unsure if you would like it, it's good to try new things! And if you do end up checking out Yes Please, The Current War, or Flow please comment below what you thought! Thanks for reading!
